If you just have an hour, walk around the capitol and the grounds, using the self-guided brochures as your guide. As you walk around the capitol, use the signage to access the capitol’s mobile tour. That will allow you to learn quite a bit in a short amount of time.

If you have a few hours at your disposal, you need to stop by the Visitors Center to look through the films, information, and exhibits. You can also walk around the capitol and visit the gift shop.

If you have a full day, you can take a comprehensive tour. Stop by the Bullock Museum to learn about the history of Texas. You can also watch a 4-D or IMAX film at the museum. Then, walk around the grounds and head over to the visitor’s Center.
